Tetra Pak intaglio is a simple version of Intaglio. Tetra Pak is an easy-to-use and accessible, plate material. Students will learn techniques including Dry-point and Collograph. Create lines, textures, shaped plates, or do it all.

About The Event
Tetra Pak intaglio with Maxine Leu:
Come and share your own eco-ideas and learn how to print your trash into creative artwork! Bring any trash that is flat, from candy wrappers to old receipts. This workshop will encourage people to think about the current waste issue we have in America. Participants will learn printmaking techniques that will allow them to imprint the shapes and textures of their trash onto paper.
Tool & Material:
Etching needles, etching inks, ink knives, tarlatan, tray for soaking the paper, towel for drying the paper, newsprint, printmaking paper, superglue or adhesives, simple green, rags for clean-up, flat trash like candy wrappers, receipts, newspaper, plastic containers, Tetra Pak
Class #1: Collagraphs I - relief and monotype in texture
Class #2: Collagraphs II - relief with intaglio in multi-color
Class #3: Collagraphs III - relief and intaglio, viscosity in layers
About teaching artist:
Maxine Leu is an interdisciplinary artist, art educator, and environmentalist from Taiwan. She received her Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture at the State University of New York at New Paltz and her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Tainan University of Technology (TUT), Tainan, Taiwan. Her work focuses on the environment, communication, and identity. Leu has been promoting workshops about Printmaking, Sculpture, Eco-friendly and recycling Art, and Traditional Chinese Art in a number of places since 2015.
